2013 marked the seventh year for the Best Practices Conference. The conference is a result of collaboration between the Oakland County Superintendents Association and the Teaching and Learning Council. The intention of this conference is to provide a forum where local educators have the opportunity to share programs and services being provided to students that are helping to increase student achievement. The importance of ensuring all students are reaching high levels of achievement will be a continuing theme in designing this conference in future years.
Each year a planning committee will select an area of focus for the conference to help ensure that we continue to examine all areas of our education programs. The focus for 2012-2013 is ‘Implementation of the Common Core’ programs and services currently being used in our districts will be presented.
